“Chiropractic is the best kept secret in health care, and I want to help change that!”

Kent Greenawalt is president and CEO of Foot Levelers, Inc a well known leader in custom orthotics located in Roanoke, Virginia. Kent isn’t only a successful businessman but also a philanthropist who has given to numerous charitable causes. He spearheaded a fundraising effort immediately following 9-11 attack that raised more than $500,000 for the Red Cross and then again in 2005, raising $572,453 for victims of Hurricane Katrina, again for the Red Cross.

His true passion is chiropractic. He and his father have given millions of dollars to chiropractic colleges and research throughout the country. As President and one of its chief contributors, he has made it his ambition through the Foundation of Chiropractic Progress to increase the public’s understanding regarding the benefits of chiropractic. “Chiropractic is health cares best kept secret,” he said. “We are trying to change this.”

The Foundation is accomplishing this is goal through advertisements in major publications such as Newsweek, Business Week and like national publications featuring Sarah Harding, Ms. Fitness 2006 who has a positive story to tell about her chiropractic experience. This is supplemented through Public Service Announcements, press releases and other venues regarding the chiropractic profession. Kent is the recipient of numerous awards including recognition by the American Red Cross’ as a member of the “Circle of Humanitarians.”
